Hey fam-damily!
Bob- I'm going to try that steak recipe, it sounds amazing. I still rarely cook meat, and usually only burgers, but I'm really interested in expanding my horizons.
On Monday I went rock climbing with a coworker of mine and LOVED it. We went to Metrorock which is an indoor gym. Last week I bought a groupon (super-coupon) for it, I have a month's free membership, free gear and an introductory class. I took the class on Monday, and learned how to tie proper knots, and the calls for belaying (being the rope-holder). Climbing is so exhilarating! Its challenging, and rewarding at the same time.
Last night I went again. It was a ton of fun. I took my belay test and now I can climb whenever I want, with whomever I want! I'll be going back on Friday. My hands are all scuffed up and my shoulders are incredibly sore, but I love it.
I'm sure you've all seen the garden I'm growing, I want to expand it. My chard sprouts are growing-they're fairly easy. And its my favorite leafy green so I may make a bigger box to plant them in! The cucumber plant is expanding too. And that awful tomato plant (which I'm actually starting to love, because its so easy) is growing wonderfully. Hopefully I'll have some tomatoes to give to Emily soon.
I also just got a free bike! My dutch one is a bit too heavy and large, I'm considering selling it- if any of you want it let me know! Otherwise, the poor baby is off to a new home. The new one requires a lot of work, but its all very accessible and easy. Its perfect for someone my height and great for city commuting. I'm hoping to have it running by next week, the summer schedule on the bus to work is TORTUROUS!
I hope you all are doing well. I love you and miss you all!
